yellow yarn, overeating & a giraffe head

Posted by & filed under Hazel, Rebecca.

My sister asked me to make a quick run into JoAnn’s last night on our way to meet some friends for dinner.

First of all, there’s NO SUCH THING as a quick trip into JoAnn’s. (can I get an amen?) Especially if it involves anything at the cutting counter. Anything.

But fortunately, it was a Tuesday night and she really just wanted one thing – a skein of yellow yarn.

And, she stayed true to her word – one skein of yellow yarn…. and an off white skein too, since we were there in the yarn section.

15 minutes. And we were quick about things!

JoAnn Fabrics is the place where time goes to get lost forever.

I digress…

Back to the yellow yarn. She got the yarn. We met our friends for a lovely Girls’ Night Out. I ate too much and don’t regret it. Yum.

And this morning, bright and early we exchange a few texts to plan a morning trip to the park with her four and my single lady. Fun!

And what does she have with her at the park at 10:00 in the morning? A hat made of yellow yarn for Hazel! With BRAIDS!!!!

And it’s cute and lovely and impressive to have been accomplished sometime between 10pm and 10am. My sister, she amazes me.

And also?

Hazel ADORES it.

Because, who doesn’t want to see what it feels like to have long, luscious locks just one time before you turn three?

Here’s to sisters and yellow yarn and dinners with friends and sunshiny Wednesdays!

Love to you all.

Wait a minute! I must have missed something. Where’s the giraffe head?
    Yellow Yarn – check
    Overeating – check
    Giraffe head – ………..
    :-)

(and can I just take a minute to say how much I love your ‘human checker’ on the comments. I can’t stand those with the letters/numbers, but this one by Sweet Captcha is fun. Yes, my life is boring)

I could tell you, but it’s more fun if you have to look for it! Look again! ;)

And yes, the Sweet Captcha thing makes me so happy! I sometimes just want to leave comments to play the game!
