’tis {almost} the season!

Posted by & filed under Nourish Organics.

And now for a message from Raechel (who is currently wearing her Nourish Organics co-CEO hat):

Great news! Today we are publicly launching our newest organic wash scent! (All the newsletter subscribers got the heads up on Monday, but there is still some left for the rest of us!) Our brand new Organic Peppermint Wash is available just for the holidays. In fact, we’re doing a limited run of only 80 bottles.

Yes, I’m a holiday purist, too. I try my hardest not to listen to Christmas music until after Thanksgiving and do my best to avert my eyes from all the pretty Christmas displays at Macy’s until it’s really time. BUT, I also know that when you wake up on Friday morning after Thanksgiving, you are going to want to scrub-a-dub-dub with festive (& moisturizing! & 100% organic!) peppermint wash in the shower while you sing along loudly to your first Christmas carol.

So, you can order a bottle now – but you have to pinky-promise to tuck it away until November 25th. Mkay? (Alright, we’ll allow one “test” wash before then. We won’t tell if you won’t.)

So, 80 bottles for sale (limit 2 per order, please!) and if you order by Friday you can count on it arriving in time for that morning-after-Thanksgiving scrub.

And, while you’re ordering, feel free to stock up on other balmswashes & oils as gifts and stocking stuffers for your friends. We’ll even throw in free shipping with the code “peppermint40” if you spend $40!

Think we should give one away, too? Let’s do a one-day giveaway with only one way to enter – you have to tell me your favorite christmas carol/hymn/song. (And don’t forget that to actually enter the giveaway you have to click “I did this” and enter your info in the nifty rafflecopter widget below.)

Free shipping offer expires 11/18/11. Limit 2 8oz organic peppermint washes per customer. Order by Friday, November 18th for guaranteed Black Friday delivery.

My favorite is Little Drummer Boy, along with I Heard the Bells on Christmas. The lyric that says “God is not dead nor does He sleep” gets me EVERY SINGLE TIME I hear it!

I am loving all the Christmas carols right now. My son is in choir at church and we are practicing them for the Christmas program. My favorite is Oh Come Little Children…because he knows all the words and sings it all day in his precious voice. Peppermint wash…perfect! I hope they sale out fast for you.

It’s hard to pick one… Maybe little drummer boy? Or do you hear what I hear? I can definitely say my favorite Christmas cd right now is Family Force 5. :)

I also love O Holy Night. Especially hearing it during the Christmas Eve mass.

We Canadians know how to space our our holidays a little better – our Thanksgiving was in early October! So right after Halloween, Christmas songs/decorating are fair game up here. I still wait until the end of November though.

Hard to pick one, but I like Silent Night. I can remember singing this in choir as a young girl and everyone else had stopped singing. I kept singing… loudly :)

I love Silent Night – it always brings back sweet memories of the Christmas Eve service at my church, where that is the last song we sing of the night, and the lights are very dim and the organ is soft and everyone holds their lit candles to light up the church – so beautiful and moving.

Definitely O Holy Night for me. I’m usually a purist too but in years where we travel for Thanksgiving I love to decorate the house so that it’s all fancy and Christmasy (is that a word) when we get home. This year even even out shelf elf, Fred, is going to be secretly making the trip with us so he’ll be ready to appear the day after Thanksgiving!

I love almost all holiday music (with the exception of Ave Maria due to a wanna-be opera singer we had to suffer through every year in church growing up and because I was often serving up front, I couldn’t very well cringe in front of the whole congregation. Ahem. Sorry.) but my absolute favorite – the one I keep replaying – is Mary, Did you Know? Ahhh…Christmas cookies anyone?

I sing Silent Night to my daughter every night. It is so calming to her, and it melts my heart to see her fall asleep in my arms.

Ha, I almost didn’t come read this (and I read ALL your posts) because it was about a Christmas scent BEFORE Christmas but I’m glad I did and I’m glad you’re not overlooking Thanksgiving! :) Only ONE favorite Christmas song?! hmmm, I really like Blue Christmas, mostly because I love hearing Elvis sing it. :)

ps-Does the Green Hills Body Shop not sell the Sweet Orange scent? I saw the Lavender and Coconut ones but I love orange and I really want to smell it before I buy it (because I really like the coconut one too and can’t get both right now).

Nope – they are out of sweet orange right now. It always helps to let them know you want it if they don’t have it. I think they’re about due for an order soon, so I’ll see if we can’t get a few in there for you :)

Mine is “Good ol’ Country Christmas” by Loretta Lynn. It’s an old classic that my Grandfather started playing Thanksgiving afternoon when I was a wee little girl. Now, I continue the tradition with my family! Love the whole album!

I feel a bit bad because I read your blog all the time, but do not really ever comment and here I am commenting for a giveaway- oh well. My favorite is “I love those j-i-n-g-l-e bells”- sung by Frank Sinatra- that is Christmas to me- and I have already listened to the CD once this week- oops!

I LOVE Joy to the World. I also love that occasionally throughout the year, my church will sing it on non-Christmas-time Sundays, because it wasn’t even really written as a Christmas hymn. It makes my heart soar with the happy hope that the Lord is come, indeed!

It is a toss up between O Holy Night and Silent Night. I do love all Christmas hymns though! I also have a rule to wait until the day after Thanksgiving before I start listening to Christmas music!

I love the song Hark the Herald Angels Sing. My choir used to sing it with the lights off in the auditorium, only holding the battery powered candles. It was the most magical thing ever.

Hark the Herald Angels Sing. 1 – it is a very pretty song and fun to sing to. But also…..I played an angel for the children’s christmas program (didn’t we all, at some point?) and my family started referring to it as the part of Harold. Ha ha, those jokers. Ah, memories.

I LOVE peppermint….this would be awesome.
