Take it easy, Monday

Monday morning.

Recently appointed: my nanny morning! It’s the one day in the week when our Lizzie comes to hang out with Hazel for the morning and cuts me loose to regroup after the weekend and get my bearings for the week. I take time to look at the calendar to plan our week ahead, think through meals for the week, catch up on emails, and tackle what I can of my ever-mighty and ever-growing to-do list.

But today, I feel a little bit like taking it easy before I dive in.

So I have so fun distractions to share, instead! (I lurve a good diversion).

First for the day, these cool photos of Things Come Apart. Yep, just everyday objects disassembled and artfully arranged. So crazy pleasing.

Makes me think of this site. An oldie but a goodie.

And while we’re on the topic of abstract art, have you ever had a room in your house that “needed something”, but you couldn’t put your finger on it? Consider having a cloud installed. A real thing.

Isn’t art fun and funny?

And now we need a break from our distractions. Probably a picture of my little neighbors is good for this moment.

I’m feeling a sudden urge to run across the street for a snuggle.

Let’s see, what else…

I ordered half a dozen swimsuits to try for the pool this summer and returned all but this one. Modest? check. Hides all the things I’d like to hide? check. Still ridiculously chic? check. I dig.

Oh, and this video is a must-see. So must-see, that I’m not linking to it, I’m embedding it. Whoever you are, wherever you are, this is a reminder that speaks to each of us.

Jesus wants the rose. Can I get an amen on this Monday morning?

And just like that, it really is time for me to be productive.

Happy Monday from me and Crazel. XOXO!

The swimsuit link went to the clouds. LIT_RA_LEE. ;) I was looking to see what you kept. I’m in need of a MODEST, CHIC suit! But…that cloud thing was pretty darn cool!

That suit is adorable! I just mentioned to Gabe yesterday that it’s a bit ironic that this will be the first summer in seven years that we don’t have access to a pool. It figures, now that I’m pregnant and already roasting like crazy.
Not that there’d be a suit that I’d feel comfy in anyway but still, you know?

Those twinkies are so darn sweet. I’d be running across the street every day if I were you. ;)

Happy Monday to you & your Crazel.

Haha – no, it’s actually macaroni and cheese! Does it totally ruin the photo for you that it’s her eating lunch this past weekend and not cereal this morning? :)

That swimsuit is the. best. I’ve never come across anything quite like it. You’re right, it does hide what you need it to, but still looks so cool. That’s going on my ‘want’ list.

And Aaamen to that video. I’m so thankful Jesus wants the rose. Cause I’m lower than that crumpled rose.

I love the nanny-on-Monday-morning idea. I’ve been looking for a babysitter one morning a week to get some stuff done, and it would be nice to have her come Mondays so I can regroup a bit. And wow, that video. Let’s change this world, one crumpled rose at a time.

Neat links to the things apart! I like the suit, but I wonder what it looks like when it is wet.

I need a post-swim review on that swim suit. I’m with Laura on wondering how it looks when its wet.

I loved the link of the ‘rose’ sermon!! So powerful! I watched this guy speak at a Catalyst Conference via DVD one year. Also, Miss Hazel is looking particularly adorable too;)
