#Influence Conference + FMF meet-up

Posted by & filed under #Influence Conference.

Hello, friends! Big, happy news for your Monday morning!

Have you heard about the #Influence Conference yet? If not, I really want to tell you about it because it’s amazing and it’s the first conference in a long time that I’ve been this excited about. You know why?

Because it’s not about you.

Or me.

It’s about The Gospel.

It’s about God using you exactly where you are, in your current circle of influence. For His glory. This conference is all about teaching, talking, sharing, and celebrating concerning the ways He might want to use you on the individual platforms He’s given.

There are two ways to experience this conference: the Life Track & the Strategy Track.

Okay, so that’s the what of the conference. Now the other deets (and why I care so much to take a day to share this with y’all):

When: October 11-13, 2012

Where: Indianapolis, IN

Hosts: Influence is being hosted by three amazing women whom I very much admire on so many levels: Hayley (aka “The Tiny Twig“), Jessi (aka. “Naptime Diaries“) and Casey (aka. “Casey Leigh“).

Speakers: The girls have already lined up ten big-name speakers for the event and they are just announcing them today! – check to see if there’s anyone you recognize!

Community Leaders: Our hosts have hand-picked ten or so women who they believe are key players in this new emerging community. Not only are they coming to the conference, but they’ve said they will be available all weekend to help lead women through the event. According to Jessi, “They are some of my favorite women in America that I’ve never gotten to meet.”

Y’all. I get to be one of them! I’m seriously so honored and excited –  I’d have wanted to come to this conference anyway – but now I get to come and dig in with y’all all weekend! Hurrah! What fun for us all to get to participate in this amazing conference PLUS have a Finding My Feet meet-up?

And please don’t ask if there will be fancy cheese involved. That question would definitely be classified as redundant.

Cost: Through August 1st, tickets will be $200. After August 1st, ticket prices go up to $250 and will remain at that price until the event sells out.

BUT: There are 50 Early Bird/Early Adopter tickets available at the discounted price of $170.  (They go on sale today, so go get yours now, because I’m pretty sure they won’t be hanging around long!)

More details to come, and please check out the incredibly lovely Influence website for more details about lodging, speakers and so forth. In the meantime, let me know if you’re coming! I would love to meet/see y’all!

well, I just got a ticket. Hearing you were going to be there pretty much sealed my deal. :) I’m excited to see what God has in store for me through this conference. I’ve been thinking and praying on it for a while and it seems there is something there he wants me to hear. Did I mention I live in Indy about 20 minutes from the hotel? I’d call that one of the bigger signs!

I’m bummed- would love to go but I will be most likely either taking care of a newborn, birthing a baby, or cranky and overdue that weekend. Sounds so amazing!

So cool! I really feel a pull to attend, but honestly, will I feel weird showing up all alone? I don’t k ow what it is about these conferences that turn me in to a needy schoolgirl! Yikes!

Oh, I totally know what you mean. There was a conference right here in Nashville last winter that I could have attended but I was just to nervy to go. Sounds so lame, but there really is something about strength in numbers, eh? Maybe that’s part of what the girls had in mind with the community groups – if we all go nervous together, it’s not so bad! Or should I say, it would be amazing! :)

I used to follow she reads truth but I have noticed that its mainly emotional responses to scripture and not so much contextual bibicall truths, there is not intention to offend I love the way she reads truth are passionate about life this comes through in the posts I just dont think its 100 percent giving me soley bibically based teachign its very emotion/feel good driven but I need more truth of the word.

This is not a complaint or attack of any kind but simply an observation of comparing the word of God with what some female preachers I follow are saying and I’m shocked I asked one women a simple question combined with words of kindness as that’s how I am as a person , I was met with a easily offended and hostile response which was definately not the fruit of the spirit self control and temperance, I was shocked she was actually against me when as my fellow sister in christ she should have been encouraging me to compare things to the word and seek God in the word. Sisters we really need to obey christ before anything or anyone and stand on the truth individuals that are TRULY and OBEDIENTLY following christ WILL NOT be offended by you asking the hard stuff so that you can rest in the fact that your getting SOUND DOCTRINE. You will notgetverbally stoned for speaking the truth from belivers that love God morethan the desires offlesh or promotion that is a FACT.

Its like you cannot even ask a teacher a question if they don’t like the question but maybe your not being mean maybe your kindhearted and just trying to obey scriptures and compare the bible to what you hear from so many, maybe just maybe your trying to be obedient to God its crazy how the verbal stones come when your just doing what the bereans did

I done expect this to be postedbecause I may be misunderstoodwith such a transparent post, I’m aware trasparency is not always popular including askignquestions or having concerns about teachings. I wan to make itclear that this is not an attack on ANYONE AT ALL, I’m just concerned about certain teachings I have been following that I have now foud could be harful for spiritual growth especially to new converts and christians that have not yet matured in christ.

Much love, your sister in christ,

    becy xo
