a simple decision

Posted by & filed under Uncategorized.

Hello, friends!

I’m writing to let you in on a decision I made this week.

I have been very tired lately. And busy, and overwhelmed. I’m pretty sure my family misses me. I miss me. And I know God misses me.

In a moment of lovely clarity this past Tuesday I mentally divided my to-dos into needs and wants and blogging just didn’t make the cut. I’m going to take a break – probably just for the month of February. Just to regroup, refocus, and be still.

It’s a little sad – I love blogging. It’s a really fun outlet for me. But it is very time-consuming – mind consuming! And, I’ll miss y’all!

Anyway, I don’t need to hang around long. I just wanted to let you know so you didn’t think I was kidnapped or in a coma or something. I still plan to post about our playroom shake-up, yarn & hot glue, and curly hair. AND, Craftcation is very much still on! (There are still a couple of spots left if you want in!) I hope y’all have a lovely February and I do hope you all come back to see me in March!

There are going to be flowers budding next time we talk. And t-shirt weather! And, I’ll have an almost-2-year-old! (Can you believe it??)

God is good, friends! He calls us to Himself. He is a giver of good gifts. Peace out!

Sad to hear, but glad you’re getting your personal priorities in order. Hopefully you’ll still be tweeting along! I follow you there! (@_TheLouLou) Also, my oldest son is going to be 2 on March 3rd, our babies are close! I have a 9 month old boy too though. Enjoy your break!

Thanks, girl! Yeah, I think you’ll still see me on Twitter and Instagram. It’s already killing me to have photos and things to blog and to have to just enjoy them myself. But, I think it will be really nice to be still this month. Kind of exciting! :)

Good for you, anytime you put your priorities in order, it really is a simple decision… Not easy to do but simple to make. I’m more of a Reader than a commenter, but want you to know you will be missed! Enjoy your February.

I’ll miss your blogs, but totally understand the need for a break, it seems my blog is on a break right now too, who knows for how long.

Sadness… but I so understand. You are brave to step away! My sadness is replaced by happiness, though, when I think about being able to see you again in a few months! YAY!

Good for you. I really enjoy your blog. But I have often wondered how in the world you have time to do it all!? I wondered if you (and some other amazing mommy bloggers) have some super powers that I’ve missed out on! It does make me feel a little better to know that I’m not the only one who has trouble finding time for everything. And as much as I’ll miss your posts, I’m glad that you are putting your family first and I pray that you have a lovely, relaxing February! :)
