One Year Old!

Posted by & filed under Hazel, Oliver, Videos.

Two random things about the video:
1. The first song is by Ingrid Michaelson and it’s called “They Way I am”. Ryan used to play this song on the iPod for Hazel to get her to fall asleep for naps and at nighttime. We’ve always said it was her song. Even this week she heard it start playing and stopped and smiled, then when the chorus came on she stopped and listened some more. Cute.
2. The “Hey Soul Sister” song is great on it’s own – we really like it. But it’s especially funny because after Oliver watched the video for the first time after I finished putting it together he walked around the house singing, “Ha-zel sister…”
So, that’s my two things. Enjoy!

And, it’s official! She’s one year old!
Thanks be to our Lord for the life He has given!

    >My baby girl turns a year old on Sunday. I remember when you were pregnant at the same time as me, and I was reading about you walking with one leg up on the curb trying to go into labor, and being 9 days late I had to try it to. That feels like just yesterday, and now our baby girls are a YEAR old. I've been giving Mia extra snuggles this week. Happy Birthday to Hazel!!

    >The video was perfect in every way–you are so blessed to have such beautiful children! My sister got married last August and at her wedding our cousin sang that Ingrid Michaelson song. Since Hazel obviously connects to that tune at such a young age it would be so neat to have it at big events later in life–sweet 16 party, her wedding, etc. It certainly is a beautiful tune!!

    >So cute! Happy Birthday to Hazel!!! My second daughter turned one in December and my dad made a video using the same "Hey Soul Sister" song. I never liked the song until seeing it in her video and now my girls dance to it together :)
